CAPACITY BUILDING FOR ADOLESCENT GIRLS AND INTERNALLY DISPLACED YOUTHS TO PROMOTE ENTREPRENEURSHIP AND COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT

With more than half of the population under the age of 20, access to the job market remains highly competitive, especially in entrepreneurship, which involves a multitude of national and international actors with substantial financial resources. This poses a challenge for young people trying to venture into entrepreneurship by navigating socio-economic and institutional parameters to make their initiatives sustainable.

General Objective:
Strengthen the capacities of adolescent girls, internally displaced youth, and young leaders in entrepreneurship and civil society organization management for employment and community development.

Specific Objectives:

  1. Raise awareness among adolescent girls, internally displaced youth, and young leaders on identifying business ideas and community issues, and provide possible solutions.
  2. Build the entrepreneurial and community development capacities of adolescent girls, internally displaced youth, and young leaders.
  3. Educate adolescent girls, internally displaced youth, and young leaders on the laws and regulations for creating businesses and non-profit organizations.
  4. Train adolescent girls, internally displaced youth, and young leaders on the importance of accounting systems (e.g., opening bank accounts, financial rules and procedures) for their businesses and non-profit organizations.
