Who We Are
A non-profit, non-political, secular association governed by Act No.90/053 of 19 December 1990 on freedom of association
The YALI West Africa Alumni Association Cameroon is a duly registered association in conformity with Cameroon’s 1990 Law on Freedom of Association since 2019. It operates following a legally binding constitution and bylaws run by an elected National Executive Body.
Association members constitute community leaders, entrepreneurs, civic leaders, and public managers with cross-cutting knowledge and multiple years of experience in youth engagement and empowerment, peace building, project management, and community development, to name a few.
Our Areas of Focus
Youth Empowerment and Leadership
Fostering youth leadership and entrepreneurial spirit, while instilling moral, ethical, and civic values within our members and the youth of Cameroon. We focuse on equipping young individuals with the skills and values necessary to become responsible leaders and active contributors to their communities.
Educational and Cultural Development
Support educational, social, cultural, and sports initiatives that engage the youth of Cameroon. We emphasize the importance of holistic development through diverse activities that enhance knowledge, creativity, and social cohesion among youth.
Sustainable Progress and Good Governance
Promote innovation and advance sustainable development practices, while advocating for good governance, peace, and democratic principles. This focus area aims to promote practices and policies that ensure long-term well-being for all members, fostering a society that values sustainability, accountability, and harmony.
